Irada Akhoundova
president
Irada was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and has been actively involved with HBSCA since early 2005, first as Senior VP and then as HBSCA President since 2006. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baku State University and completing Extended Psychology studies at the Center for Psychological Studies in Baku, she began her career in 1988 as a High School Counselor and Language Instructor at one of the main high schools in Baku. Her primary professional experience is in education, languages, cross cultural orientation and project/event management. She is fluent in English, Russian and Azeri, and has life and work experience in various countries, including Azerbaijan, Spain, Saudi Arabia and the United States. She is married and has one daughter and two grandchildren.
Dr. Efendi was born in 1970 in Baku, Azerbaijan and graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a PhD in Biophysics. He has been holding safety/security/emergency response managing positions throughout the world as well as two university faculty appointments. Currently he holds a corporate global position for a major oil/gas company.
He has served on the HBSCA Board of Directors since 2005. He is interested in history, literature, bridge, and is an active member of the intellectual games club of Houston.

Vice-president
Anjelica Dilbazi was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and is an accomplished supply chain professional, working in the energy industry for over 30 years.
She is also a devoted mother and grandmother.
